Cook with Ken – Braised Bacon with Bok Choy

This is the dish I am making for dinner.

Didn’t know that the picture looks so nice when you pour some into a small bowl.

It is very easy to make.

This is what you need…

Bok Choy.

King Oyster Mushroom.

Bacon.

Ginger.  hahaha cut it into slices.  And cover the pot.

Actually you don’t need so much.  The idea is you place the ginger below, so that your bok choy not easily burned.

One teaspoon of any steamboat sauce.  Those Japanese sauce to make the steamboat stocks.

Chicken stocks.

That’s it!

As I am experimenting it.  so, I only cook with 4 big slices of bok choy.

Each layer, you put two pieces of bacon.

Cover another slice of bok choy on top of it.

Put two more slices of bacon on it.

Finish stacking the bok choy.

Then, you start to cut it.

Cut into this height.

Then, you arrange it onto the wok or pot.

Just like this.  With the ginger below.  (If you don’t like Ginger don’t put or don’t put so much.)

Cut the mushrooms.  I only use a stalk.  Put it inside the pot.

Lastly, pour one teaspoon of the steamboat sauce.

The follow by a pack of Chicken Stocks (250ml).

Cover the pot and cook for 20-25min.

I am using Amway’s iCook to cook it.

You can smell the ginger smell.

The finished product is very nice.  The taste is sweet.  and Salty (because of the bacon) and gingery.

I don’t like to make complicated stuff.  So, this should be an easy dish to prepare for your love one.  Every body can cook.
