Close to mid-night, we have a power outage at home. All power tripped at home. It even tripped the main distribution box outside my condo unit. This is very unusual.
I was awaken by my helper and younger son around 11 plus before midnight. My elder son already knocked out and cannot wake up. So, left me to do the troubleshooting.
After 30min, we found out that half of the living room power outlet are not working. And the breaker cannot be turned back on.
So, here is the main reminder:
When this kind of outage happen, PLEASE TURN OFF EVERY SINGLE APPLIANCE THEN ONE BY ONE SLOWLY TURN ON EACH SUB-BREAKERS. FIND OUT WHICH IS THE CULPRIT THAT CAUSE THE OUTAGE!!!!
Instead I keep trying and the RP1 breaker just could not be turn back on. So, I have to take out all the wines from my wine fridge.

It is lots of hard work ya! Then move out the empty wine fridge, and then connect the power cord to an extension cable. And then put back the wines.
Also the Internet is down. Some how the router has no power.
So, next day, when my son wakes up, he start doing the troubleshooting.

He opens up the router….

And shockly found out that the power supply module has burned out.

It is so lucky that the insulator casing has prevent the fire to break out. Otherwise, as you can see, it will burn.
So, my son took the old EdgeRouter Lite and configure it and replace the faulty router. I think Ubiquiti router has this over heating issue. That is why we put a portable fan there to cool down the router. I told my wife we shoud also buy a smoke detector too.
So good and cool to have a electronic electircal engineering student at home. He does all these while I play golf with my friends.

So, when I gets home, he and helper helps me to take all the wine out, move the wine fridge and plug the power cord back to the outlet, and put all the wines back into the fridge. Still very hard work. hahaha
