I love to take picture with my FujiFilm X-T1. And I love to use a large aperture lens so that it gives nice Bokeh effect.
Thanks to him (i.e. Kai Wong) did a review on this Kamlan 50mm f1.1 lens. After watching the video, I immediately logon to Amazon and bought it. And guess what, it delivered to me in Singapore.
This is where I bought it from. When I make the order, there are still a few more. But after that, all stocks gone. hahaha
I pay < US$30 for the delivery to deliver up to my doorstep in Singapore. I make the order on Oct 15, and I received it today which is Oct 19. I love Amazon.

For something that is US$170. The box cannot be so pretty ya.

The usual China’s quality assurance certificates.. hahaha

Nice and firm foam to protect the lens.

There you go … KamLan (Aiyo, whoever Chinese who come up with this name definitely not a Hokkien!!) 50mm F1.1 lens. US$170 nia.

Feels cheap.

Really feels cheap.

It is quite plastic feel.
The aperture ring is not so smooth to turn. But the focus ring is ok.
What do you expect for a US$170 lens????
Hahahaha… So, let’s see if the photo taken with this lens is OK?

OK… not too bad. The Bokeh is quite smooth and nice.

I think “boleh tahan”…

Wow.. look at all the paintings behind the 毽子.

OK. It is an interesting lens.

I tested a few shots.. and I think I can accept it so far.

Compare to my Mitakon 35mm F0.95, the focusing (manual) is much easier to achieve at F1.1.

Thanks Kai Wong’s recommendation. Hahahahaha

Hi i mounted this lens on xt1 but it’s not taking any photos at all. Can you advise me what to do or any settings to change to make it work? Thank u
If I am not wrong, you need to shoot without lens (settings) and select Manual focus.
