Kano – Next Step

Date:  May 29, 2016

Last year, I bought Jay Jay a Kano computer for him to assemble.  Since then, he likes to play with Scratch and knew the capability of Phyton.

Basically, Kano is a Raspberry Pi that comes with 1) cool casing with speaker, 2) cool keyboard with mousepad, 3) cool programming lessons for kids to learn.

This year, to reward his improvement in his study, I bought him these.

This is a self assembly screen for Kano computer.

Yes!  Jay Jay is going to construct his own 10.1″ LCD screen.

Its a 10.1″ HD screen.

The screen is big enough.IMG_7643.jpg

This is after he build the screen by placing all parts together, cut out cardboard and so on.

And here comes the boot up.

The instruction book is quite clear.

It teach you how to assemble the screen together.

They even teach you how the screen works.

And attached the Kano computer behind it, it is done!

One of the cool things you can do is this… coil everything…

And you can keep the Kano keyboard here.

And you can bring the Kano screen with the keyboard and computer to anywhere you like.

Make sure you bring a portable battery to make it truly portable too.

And of course, you can play your games too.  hahahaha
