Jay build this from scratch. It is called “Game Shell” marketed by Clockwork.
Search the web and you will find info on it.
It kinda looks like a Gameboy.
Some times, email marketing does work. I received this email from my Amazon account. It caught my eyes.
As you already know I like gadgets.
so, I bought it.
This is how the box looks like. Very professional looking.
It is like fixing lego. The screen, plastic but nice and very professional cutting.
Label on the screen also very nice.
The LCD.
One of the nicer component I have seen. Most of the LCD out there looks pretty ugly.
Fix the screen.
Protect the back.
The custom made CPU.
The very nice looking keypad.
The cover. Nicely fitted.
Extra buttons. It is actually nice as it can serve as a holder when you grab the Game Shell on your palm.
The L and R button. Do you notice the Lego round round thingy? You can fit Lego on it.
The OS has games emulator installed on it. Can do MAME, GBA, NES, etc etc.
Simply go download the ROMs from Internet (might not be legal). But for education purpose, can try it la.
Let’s see it in action. Smooth. It has its own OS.
I run the GBA’s Chessmaster. Tried playing it, and I got killed in 2 steps.
Final Fantasy. Cool.
It is quite cool when you have your entire family playing in the Final Fantasy. Wahhaha
I think the build of this handheld game console beats any 3D printed casing for Raspberry Pi running Retropie.
The price tag although is bit high side, but it is cheaper than those fitted Raspberry Pi into original GBA 3D printed casing. hahaha
Buy.
