Date: Oct 2, 2016
It’s Friday, and it is always the playdate night.
And for the second week in a roll, the kids will be playing Pokemon at home.
Since Pokemon is the in-thing.

Wait now. What fun can they have to play Pokemon at home????
Kay is catching a Porygon! Yes, at home.

How about getting a Raichu? Yes, at home.

At some point, they screamed and they shouted inside the room.
“Look Jay, I caught a Alakazam!”
“Quick, Charmandar is at the jetty here…”
I have to from time to time go into the room and tell them “Indoor voice… Indoor voice” “You all are not outdoor, no need to scream….”
Jay catching a doduo.

Catching Pokemon at home of course got a lot of benefits.
Such as this photo from Jay, an creative capture. hahaha

They don’t have to run and get sweaty.
All catching is inside my bedroom.
With air-con.

Kids interacts too. Talk so much as if they are really in Changi Village.

All their Pokemon iPads or iPhone are in Changi Village.
I myself spent a lot of nights there physically.
It is the most in-place for Pokemon Trainers to visit.
A lot of people.
With the help of https://sgpokemap.com/
They are able to run from the car park to the Jetty to the Changi Beach.
They are fighting Gym too.
4 people fight the gym together and destroyed what every gym out there.

The brains are here and they will instruct the young one where to go and catch. One hand looking at the map, and the other hand catching the Pokemon.

A totally 100% satisfaction.

Advantages
- You do not have to bring so many kids out to catch Pokemon. Stay at home, and go any where you want to go. Mainly saving time, and more safety I think.
- 100% satisfaction from the kids. You can tell from their face. Hey, with only 2 sessions, they caught almost 80-90 types of Pokemon. Once they have done it, they will cool down. And that is what you want. If not, every day “Daddy, let’s go MBS, daddy, let’s go Botanical Garden”
- Happy kid == happy kid. That is what you want. Happy kid tends to do better in their exam. 🙂
- Play in air-con room. Not so sweaty.
- Go any where they like. So, you get to teach them how to draw the map, Singapore map, where is every where located. And they get to learn how to read map. And have a sense of directions.
- This is not playing your own game. This is interaction. Come to think about it, this is like playing those PC shooting game, where you collaborate and talk so much and go kill enemy. In Pokemon Go, you catch Pokemon.
- Now, the key thing is… “I caught that yesterday, I have done it.” Just in case peer pressure comes in, you can say it.
- It is just a game. But game must be played in safety. How many times you passed your photo to your kids and they keep running around and bump into people, and nearly drop into the lake, etc etc.
- Wow, you get to go places where you seldom go. Yet, spinning the Pokemon will show you all these places.
- You get to finish the game earlier, and then all settle down to take their SA2 exam. After this, the urge of going out and play is much much lesser, since they have already “done it”.
Wow… Mid-Causeway between JB and Woodland. Hahahahaha see places you seldom go.

Disadvantages
- The biggest disadvantages is your leg is not moving. The main intention of Pokemon Go is to get moving, go out there and look for Pokemon.
How to Do It?
A friend introduce me how to do it. I didn’t even know it is possible.
That friend of friend plays it because he has a baby at home. So, you cannot bring baby every day go Changi Village, right? So, to satisfy his need, he downloaded it and play at home.
Delete your copy of official Pokemon Go.
Go to http://tutuapp.vip
pay US$6.99 for a copy.
use PayPal to pay.
Then, install a developer certificates to download the TutuApp app store app.
From that app, then click on the Pokemon Go 懒人版 (lazy version). Ver 1.90.
Don’t use your main account hor.
That’s it.

This special lazy people version will give you the power to 1) go home immediately, 2) Teleport to any where in the world, 3) walk, run or drive to a location and 4) search for rare pokemon and get there in a sec.

The on screen directional button. So you can navigate.

When you teleport to a place, they even divide the distance for you. Simply enter the number of minutes and you can get there in that duration of time. For example, go to Hong Kong need 3.5 hours, etc.

OK la… catch Pokemon at home. At a fixed location.

Same excitement. You are in office but you are at Changi Village. Hi Chansey.

Warnings
- Use it at your own risk. This is app that is not approved by Apple. So, basically, when you install the developer’s certificate, you are trusting that developer not coming out with something harmful.
- Since you can move very fast in the game. It is likely Niantic will band your account. So, make sure you don’t use your main account to play.
- I told the kids that account might got band, that is why we cannot drive so often, and all must use walk and run. And we cannot teleport any where. hahahaha
Conclusions
So, I think the main purpose is to make our kids happy. That is why I went and download and install it. It really save a lot of time and sweat. And they can play with their best friends together. Sometimes, it is hard to organise a Pokemon hunting event. Even if you can organise you need to look after their safety. Since we have spare phones and iPads so, I installed it there so that they have their own personalise account and play. And so far, after two weeks, all of them have big smiles on their face. They have 100% satisfaction on their face. And I am sure it is this kind of childhood smile you need to keep producing.
Of course, people in school will say them not playing the game legally. Hey, if you don’t play, these students will say you slow, why you never catch this and that, why you didn’t play, and that is equally hurting. So, if now they have these super capability, I am very sure the these students will call them cheater, etc. Huh, it is just a game. So, I have trained my boys to ignore and give it a laugh. At least we have fun.
The only thing is we are not running around and burn our calories. hahahahahaha
Let’s replay the Pokemon this way. hahahah Just for fun!

How about me?
I sometimes have to drive them to places in the game. And then I continue playing my Pokemon Red on my Raspberry Pi.
