Gadget Notes – Raspberry & Lego

Yesterday I used some Lego bricks to build a casing to house my Raspberry Pi.

I connected the Raspberry Pi to the official 7″ touch screen and hook it up with the Wireless keyboard with mouse pad.

This is the side view.  Looks quite cool, right?

At the back, I purposely leave a big hole there for ventilation.  Not to say Raspberry will generate a lot of heat.  And not to say Lego cannot stand the heat generated by the small PC.  But as you can see, I make a mistake of thinking I no longer need to access all the USB ports.  So, I covered all up so nicely.  Wahahaha.

Wait.  I forgot to put my Bluetooth Dongle.  Oh dear.  Now, met Raspberry Pi don’t have sound capability as I did not plug in the Bluetooth dongle.

And I also kill myself for not installing the video camera there.  So, next time if I want to add the video cam capability, I have take out all the Lego pieces again.

Hahahaha

Aiya, I did not win 7 million today.  Instead only win $140.  So, this Raspberry Pi is a workable small little computer.  Can surf web.

Running Video no problem.  Just that I forgot to connect the Bluetooth dongle for the speaker.

I added in the extra legs so that it can have the inclination I wanted.  So the angle is just nice.

supply the power thru power banks.  And I pull the power cable out from this hole.

And everything work, just like a small PC.

What I am planning to use this is for Jay to learn some simple programming.  Python, Scratchy something like that.  To at least the programming concept.

Both of them were amaze with what I have build for them.  HaHaa…
