A Simple Noodle Breakfast & Others

Date: Sep 12, 2022

Last week, I went to KL for a quick trip. So, you know I hated the traffic jam. So, I rather wake up at 4:30am and start driving in. No queue no cars but me. So, I arrived at EcoNest quite early. Rest a bit, and I go downstairs to hunt for my breakfast.

There are a couple of stores jammed packed with people. So, I couldn’t eat there. The 古文茶 used to be the only one in EcoNest here but I was surprise to see it quite empty. So, I walked one big round and decided to eat at this Toast House & Cafe as it is selling some food from Segamat. Or home cooked food.

Just take a look at this.

2x nice size prawns. Got pork meat, got chicken meat, got fish balls, got meat balls, kuay tew, and and kampung egg. Scrambled in the noodle/Kuay Tew soup.

Oh my god, it is so lovely. Tasty. And no MSG.

And all for RM20.60. I even had 2x half boiled kampung eggs and coffee. That is about SGD$6+.

In KL, I met up with some primary/highschool mates some whom I never met for 40 years.

Drank 2-3 bottles of this Poseco.

Catch up with classmate just came back from Italy for holiday.

More anti-Covid booze.

Then, next day, I drove home. Traffic jam, so, I stopped by EcoNest to rest. This Japanese restaurant sell some nice pan cakes.

So, I had fish, pan cake and hot sake.

Actually I had both Cold and Hot sake.

The fish is so-so nia. I like the sake and pan cakes.

That concludes my quick and easy KL trip. Next stop is Ho Chi Min, and Boracay in a week time. Stay tune.
