Melaka Chicken Rice Ball & Cendol

Date:  Nov 17, 2017

On our way back to Setiawan, we stopped by Melaka for lunch.

I knew for the longest time that Melaka is well known for its Chicken Rice Ball.  So, I brought the kids here to taste the chicken rice ball for their first time.

We also did not do any research or Google, and we simply walk on a street until we see this sign, and we walked in.

It was raining.

All of us are hungry.  And let’s see what this restaurant can fulfil our body.

Very simple manual.

Here comes the chicken.  Taste OK.  It is Kampung Chicken.  Which is recommended by the waiter there.  A big tough for some parts though.

Chicken liver is good.

The bean sprouts is so nice.  And we re-order it.

And here comes the chicken balls.  Surprisingly to see it very small.  So, we also re-order another 10 biji.

It is interesting.  I tasted it may be 20 years ago… It is just the chicken rice roll into balls with chicken oil may be.  But it is interesting dish.

IMG_8412.jpg

It is just plain rice.

In my opinion, eat for fun.  Because it is a famous dish in Melaka.  But cannot eat every day.  Hahahaha.  A bit oily.

Here is our simple chicken rice meal.

Next stop, we see this TripAdvisor Bibik House Cendol.

This will be our dessert.

OK, the chendol is fat.  Taste quite OK.  The Gula Melaka is nice.

Good dessert.

They are happy!

That concludes our 2 hours stop over at Melaka.  Driving into Melaka from the North South highway takes 30 minutes with traffic.  Wow!
