We are on our way to Setiawan, and we decided to stay one night at Sekinchan, which is about half way between Singapore and Setiawan.

Because we book quite late, so, this is the only available one for me to book (2 days prior to the trip). We booked to stay a night in Padi Box. Yes, we will be staying in a CONTAINER HOTEL!!! The kids were very excited about it.

Let’s show you the few best photos then, we talk about the home stay.

This is what we see in the morning. Blue sky, orange yellowish sun, pink roof top, white clouds, green padi and morning fog. Wow. Breathe taking. Every one take their camera out to take this fantastic photo.

It is like water painting.

The restaurant. We will talk about this later.

The Hotel

This hotel is located on highway 5, at Sekinchan. You need to use Google Map or Waze to get here.

I paid about $68 for the two bed room.

There are few activities you can do there.

Visit Sky Mirror. You need to go to the ferry jetty, take a boat to an island. And you can take fantastic photos of Sky Mirror.
Visit the Fireflies. Again, you need to go to the ferry jetty, take a boat to a sort of island. And there are a lot of fireflies there according to them. But can only see it from the boat.
Feed Eagle. Again, to the ferry jetty, and the the Eagle will be around there.

you need to prebook all these activities from another guy. Because we decided too late to book here, so, all the bookings are full. So, if you do want to visit Sekinchan, please make appointment and booking before you come.

The Room

We staying in a two bedroom apartment. The beds are clean. There are attached toilet. There is a TV with no much programs on it. You open the window, you will see padi field. very green outside.

We found one of this in the room, it is ok la. Big, but harmless creature.

There are hammock here too.

This is the key card given to access the hotel compound. You tap the proximity card at the gantry, the gate one for you. This is how you go in and out the hotel compound.

There are swings within the hotel compound. There are also bicycle rentals.

Some children playground thingy within the hotel compound.

You basically take photos together with the padi (rice field).

The Padi Field

You are in the middle of the padi field. So, before sun set, you can walk a long walk along the padi field.

Take pictures of the trees.

See see look look how they harvest the padi (rice).

Sit by the road side.

Pick your own rice.

Malaysian rice. Raw rice.

It is a nice feeling.

Look at the rice. So when you come, please also make sure whether it is harvesting or planting.. hahaha

The key is to take fantastic water colour photos.

It is nice to take photo here.

You can sky jump.

How about dapp and sky jump?

And you can take nice photo when the sky turn dark.

May be not so clear with people. But it is nice.

Up to your imagination how you want to take these photos.

The Restaurant

Dinner time. We will eat here. This is just opposite the Padi Box hotel.

Inside the bus, it is quite nice setting.

With rustic light and blue sky outside, and wooden ceiling, you can take lots of good photos.

The potato sticks. Very nice to eat.

Chicken chop pasta.

Grill chicken rice.

Simple carbonara.

The Night Photography

2:30am, I came outside. Took some photos of the bus.

Taking long exposure photos…

Can’t see the Milky Way. Because the street lights is simply too bright.

This is the night photo of that house around 3am. The stars above.

When you take long exposure, and there is a truck coming your way, and you need to move your camera while taking the long exposure, and you get this. Wow. It is also an art. hahaha
