Free Breath Snorkelling Mask

Date:  Oct 18, 2017

Happy Diwali!

Today is a great day.  Great sun in the afternoon.  Swimming pool water is warm.

I bought this online from Snorkel Holic website almost a year ago.  But have not had a chance to test it out until today.  hahaha  Later I found out that if you get it from Decathlon, it is much more cheaper.   Decathlon one I think does not come with the top piece to put your GoPro or any action camera.  🙂

The version I bought from Snorkel Holic is called “Free Breath Snorkelling Mask – Original Edition”.  You can put a GoPro or Action Camera on it.

The version sold on Decathlon is called “Easybreath Surface Snorkelling Mask”.  And you might not be able to place the GoPro on it.  It’s cheaper.

And my kids love it.  Especially for Jay, he has bad experience when he did the first skin diving at the Universal Studio.  He drank a lot of water.  And it scare the hell out of him.  That was many years back.  And when you talk about snorkelling, he is like very scared.  Phobia I guess.

Today, this is the first time he put on it.  And it feels great.  He can breathe underneath the water.

I have great fun using it too.  So as Kay Kay.

You breathe so much under water, somehow it does not form any fog inside the mask.  Very good.

As long as you maintain the yellow breathe tube above the surface, you have no problem breathing continuously.

I think we need to go back to Nikoi Island again!!!  Now, Kay are a good swimmer, and he can learn how to do skin diving.

Of course he can do it without the mask.  Also works too.  But he soon realise that he need to change air so often.  So, with the mask is still better.

Now, if you dive down even further so that the yellow breathing tube is completely submerge inside water.  Then, you cannot breathe and must hold your breathe.  However, you can breathe out the air in your lungs and quickly go back up and change air.

Dive dive dive Jay Jay…

Still I need to educate them about the hazard.  They can do skin diving, or snorkelling as long as there is a fast way to change air or take air.  I still don’t recommend them to do deep sea diving.  Personal “phobiatic” preference.  hahaha

Kids are having lots of fun!

So happily playing.

I am getting the fins soon.  hahaha with this mask and the fins, I think they will enjoy it.

Here is how it works.

Amazing, trying to figure out what blocks the water.  It is that small little ball inside.

And the straps behind is quite comfortable.

It’s fun time in the pool!!

Arrr… I created too much bubbles…

Yeeha….

Yee ha again…

Training them to do something the parents did few years ago…

This is how the parents did it back in 2015 @ Nikoi Island Swimming pool.  Hahahaha Shiok!
