What I post the other day are photos that are extracted, unprocessed from my camera.
So, my friend, who is also a good photographer seems to think that my photos are too RAW (got the joke?), he seems to hint me that I should do something about it. Yeap, if you really wanted to go into photography, that step that you need to spend hours and hours of time to process, tweak the exposure, contrasts, etc on your RAW photos is a must.
So, may I present you my tweaked Milky Way & Star photos when I was in Australia at the Curringa farm. As I said, I only learned how to shoot in manual mode and learn how to process it using photoshop not very long ago… But after I have done it… WOW… amazing…
Using my 16mm f1.4 lens. Not so wide angle, but is enough.
The millions of stars in the sky. I wonder where is the alien? How many light years I need to travel to those stars…
When you have a f1.4 lens, you take in so much light, and you can shoot night photos like shooting day time photo. Hahaha…
But the key thing is the stars in the sky.
I love to look at the stars.

This is what I learned. If you just simply shoot the sky, it is not so interesting. That is why, almost all my star photos I have a small subject, i.e. tree trunks, or trees in there.
It really makes the photo looks nice. And after photoshop (i.e. the sliders) tweak here and there, the colour really looks so nice.
If I show this to my son, my son will think that is a sun. Well actually it is not. It is the moon. So bright, so bright. Look at the little stars at the edge of the top, those stars gives you a hint that this is a moon.
