Yeah! We Finally got a photo and a book signed by Joseph Schooling.
He was a junior swimmer in the club.
And he won Singapore’s first Olympic Gold Medal.
So, Joseph Schooling becomes SICC Swimming Ambassador.
And he was given a Honorary Membership. With the membership nuer S5039 matching his Olympic Records. Something for him to remember for winning the Olympic Gold Medal.
Last Monday, he came to the club to receive his membership card.
So, we came to the club to witness this historical moment.
Here he comes.
He came from early training. And was in a traffic jam for a while. But he made it.
Wah, his card so big. hahaha
Joseph go up stage received his big card.
Joseph giving a short speech.
The crowds are amazing too.
So many people attended the ceremony.
To teach kids how to become patriotic… is to bring kids to see their national heroes.
Today, they finally got the chance to meet this national hero. Joseph Schooling.
Kay Kay even brought his favourite book – Pokemon book for Joseph to autograph.
Alamak! The security stopped us, say that “Cannot autograph Pokemon Books”.
The situation is too chaotic when it reach our turn. (And I accidentally press STOP videoing. hahaha)
Yeah! It is our turn. We talked to him and he signing our photo, and books. (Not Pokemon book)
Thank you Mr. Joseph.
Let me get a nice selfie too.
Yeah! We got our photo and picture book autographed by Joseph Schooling.
I think this is the book for charity. $20 for the book and most of the cost goes into charity. So kind of it.
You can become a hero too.
Don’t have to win a Olympic Gold Medal.
As long as you contributed your efforts in helping the country any way that you can, you already become a hero to that country.
This is how I am teaching both Jay and Kay.
